Not the dating kind of “together”! Together on the June 24th episode ofMBC’s “Music Travel Lalala“.

This episode of “Music Travel Lalala” is a “Sounds Like Teen Spirit” special, so Super Junior and Girls Generation were invited to guest on the show as the “leading” idol groups of Korea. Yeah, right. Not that there’s anything wrong with both groups, but who in the world gave them the right to appoint Girls Generation and Super Junior as being a better group than the Wonder Girls, TVXQ or Big Bang?! I rest my case.

However, the a few select members of Super Junior (E-teuk, Kang-in,Sung-min, Ryu-wook, Kyu-hyun, Ye-sung and Dong-hae) and Girls Generation (Tae-yeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny and Seo-hyun) who were on the show, were able to show viewers that they actually have more talent than people think. On the show, the two groups did covers of songs by artists such as ABBA, Kim Ah-joong, Kim Jong-seo and then of course their very own Sorry Sorry and Gee.

Dong-bang-shin-ki, Girls Generation and Super Junior want you to come to Seoul. The city has unveiled a new cheesy sounding campaign slogan, “Infinitely yours” and enlisted the help from pop idol acts to drum up more tourists from China and Japan.

With the weak won and pop idol allure, the campaign just might work…

And let’s hope that the “Sparkling Korea” slogan has been abandoned.

While the

rest of his fellow Super Junior mates are embracing the mob mentality, MIA member Kim Ki-bum is going to see a movie by himself. On June 3rd, he was spotted at the movie premier for renowned actor Choi Min-shik’s new movie, “Himalaya: Where the Wind Dwells,” which opens in Korea June 11th. “Himalaya” centers around the story of a jaded middle aged man given the task of returning the ashes of an illegal immigrant worker back to his homeland in Nepal.

I don’t blame Ki-bum for wanting to be in the presence of one of Korea’s premiere thespians be

cause it is Choi Min-shik’s first silver screen appearance in four years since 2005’s “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,” maybe Choi Min-shik’s skills will somehow rub off on him. Kim Ki-bum is sending a clear message that he wants to focus on acting, yet if he is really going to do so, he might as well just cut ties with Super Junior and give the ELFs a break.

Choi Si-won of Super Junior was spotted attending the press presentation for Italian luxury maker, Cesare Paciotti at Start Cafe in Shinsa-dong on May 4^th. So when will we get to see a bit of this again?

DAMN, boy has hulk arms~!

Super Junior’s sexy Choi Si-won graced the cover of the June issue of “Men’s Health” magazine Korean edition. The photo shoot illustrates Si-won’s favorite athletic hobby other than dancing around in a mob being basketball. “Men’s Health” offered more pomp and circumstance to Si-won’s cover saying that it was the first time that an idol star has ever made it onto the cover, which isn’t really saying all that much, except that idol stars aren’t expected to be mega ripped and fit.

His muscular bod is attributed to four years of dedicated body building with a personal trainer. Si-won’s personal trainer noted, “For this photo shoot, Si-won had lost about 15 kg in 1 month, and right now he is still slowly cutting down his weight from 75kg.”

Holy moly, 15 kg in a single month sounds like a rather unhealthy weight loss, even if Si-won is just all lean muscle now.

Super Junior will be coming to a town near you (if you live in Asia).

The crowded boy group will begin their “Asia Tour Super Show II” in July starting with their hometown, Seoul. Three performances are set for July 17th to 19th. And if you are a lucky ELF, then tickets can be purchased prior to public release via the official fan site. If you are still a fan but want to see them in Seoul, tickets can be acquired through online market, Gmarket.co.kr (in Korean) starting on June 16th.

The show will then move to Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei for a 7 city roadtrip. Dates have yet to be confirmed.

For the episode of ‘Best Friend Note’ (절친노트) that aired on the 17th, Super Junior members Kang-in and Sung-min revealed that E-Teuk’s original stage name given was ‘Kang-Soo’.
We seriously cannot picture him as a ‘Kang-Soo’ can you?
Well, papa SM, Lee Soo-man had decided on this name with the meaning “To be the dominating flow in the music industry”. Right. Like that would ever happen. Perhaps that’s why Mr. SM came to his senses and changed it to E-Teuk which means “To be a special person in the world”. *Ahem. No comment* Watch the episodes for yourselves to hear the full story and also find out why Kang-In and Sung-Min of ‘Super Junior’ are awkward around each other.

On the most recent episode of SBS‘ music program “Inkigayo” Super Junior gave major fan service through one video and two performances.

In the “Save Energy” video, nine of the thirteen members got together to make a short video of how one can save energy. Basically, the message is turn off your computers and take public transportation. Overall it was a good message with some bad engrish. Every time they said “earth” you would hear “urs” which can be a very southern way of saying “us”. Looks like the boys are trying to get a different message out. Either they’re saying “save us from the industry which jips them” or “save us from each other” considering all the “boy love” action that took place.

As for the other two performances, Super Junior K.R.Y. (which consists of Kyuhyun, Ryeo Wook, and Yesung just to let you know in case you are having a hard time keeping track of all the subgroups) made a comeback with  “Let’s Not” with fellow members, Eeteuk, Donghae, Sungmin, HanGeng, and Siwon on the piano. It was actually a decent performance considering the three strongest singers were the ones performing.

And finally for the last performance, the entire group (minus Kibum who has been MIA since promotions began) performed a new dance for “Sorry Sorry”. Looks like SM is getting the most out of it’s new American choreographers.

Seems like they’re are trying to move the masses so that they can beat out Son Dambi who won once again with “Saturday Night”

On May 3, 2009, Super Junior performed their last stage for their song “Sorry Sorry” on SBS music program“Inkigayo”.

With a fresh new techno remix that included much more dancing from Eunhyuk and Donghae, the boys improved their on-stage performance just for SBS. Why? Because the lipsynced their way.

Obviously,  SM is still not over the fact that KBS and MBC had banned their artists at some point in time last year.

Looks like fans will have to view “Inkigayo” for better stages and performances from any of the SM artists.
